Dr. Tracy Taddey is committed to practicing high quality, compassionate, and comprehensive family dental care. Her approach is gentle and caring while sophisticated and advanced. Her knowledge of the latest cosmetic and restorative techniques represent her passion for providing the best dentistry while caring for her patients long term dental health and individual needs. Her patients overall happiness, comfort and health are the main focus of her desire to practice dentistry.
Dr. Taddey is a third generation dentist in her family. Her father, Dr. John Taddey, practices in La Jolla and inspired her to pursue dentistry as her career path, as did her grandfather, Dr. John Taddey Sr., dentist practicing in New York City. Dr. Tracy began practicing with her father and then preceded to open her own dental practice in 2001, serving the Clairemont community, where her father joins her weekly.
Dr. Taddey obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University, as did her father and grandfather. She then attended The University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1998. Her background is broad and untraditional. Her career began in New York City as a Beauty and Fashion Editor at ELLE Magazine. Her interest in the health articles and the research that she was doing in her journalism profession ignited her decision to follow in the footsteps of her family and pursue a career in the health field where she could help others.
Dr. Taddey is a member of several local and national dental societies including the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. She volunteers her time at schools educating children on dental health and participates in community health projects providing care for children in need. Dr. Taddey attends numerous continuing dental education courses allowing her to utilize the most advanced techniques and technology in treatment of her patients.
In addition to practicing dentistry, Dr. Taddey enjoys spending time with her family who live locally, as she grew up in La Jolla. She has a passion for New York City, fashion, the arts and Italy, as she is proud of her traditional Italian roots. She enjoys traveling, cooking and running.
Dr. Taddey is dedicated to perfecting each patient's one of a kind needs and providing them with individualized treatment for optimal long-term dental health. A positive, knowledgeable approach and a friendly environment are the foundations of her practice.
